From the north
Take the Florida Turnpike south along the east coast down to just
below Ft. Lauderdale. Take Exit 4 Homestead/Key West. This is the
Turnpike Extension that meets US 1 in Florida City, which takes
you to Key Largo (approx. 20 miles south). US 1 continues through
the keys and eventually ends in Key West.
From the west
Cross 1-75 (Alligator Alley) to the Florida Turnpike South exit.
Take the Florida Turnpike South until it ends in Florida City and
becomes US 1.
From Miami International Airport
Take LeJune Road south to 836 West, which will take you to the Florida
Turnpike. Go south to US 1 and to the Keys.
From the Fort Lauderdale Airport
Take I-595 west about 2 miles to the Florida Turnpike South
towards Key West. Go south to Florida City and US1.
